The WEM's annual Jane's Walk event. Explore the modern nature of the West End and how it's split after 1960 reflects Jane's vision. Museum Director Sebastian Belfanti will lead a free walking tour for Jane's Walk 2022 exploring the character of the North and West Ends before the destruction of the West End in 1958 and the way the 4 sections of the historic West End have followed different paths since - full preservation, full demolition, a superblock and gradual change. The lessons of the West End will be framed through Jane's famous work in The Death and Life of Great American Cities.
