Description

The NSPC is excited to welcome Brother & Sister with special guest Cordovas as they bring their legendary talent to Farmville! For nearly five decades, the Allman Brothers Band performed their unique, soulful, and diverse yet distinctively Southern brand of rock and roll, to the delight of enthusiastic & dedicated fans all over the world. On the evening of October 28, 2014, the band performed for their 238th consecutive sold out crowd at New York’s legendary Beacon Theater, and then laid down their instruments as a collective entity for the final time. A big part of what led to ABB developing such a successful, beloved following was the rhythmic foundation and motivational force possessed by original drummer and founding member Butch Trucks, who sadly left our Earthly realm far too soon in 2017. His spirit, however, lives on in the hearts and minds of millions of loyal followers, and is now carried forward by the next generation of talented musicians in the family. We happily present to you ‘Brother & Sister’, a carefully curated, intimately thought out group - true to the musical ways and workings of not only the original band lineup, but its wealth of different variations over the years, with so many amazing musicians included over the span of such a lengthy and storied career. “I kind of like where I am right now. I have an amazing family and I get to play music I love with people I sincerely admire – and so I like to think that my highlight moment is yet to come. I am very excited about the fact that I get to play music at this time and in this environment." – Vaylor Trucks In Loving Memoriam – Butch “Freight Train” Trucks 1964-2017
