The Rough and Ready Fire Protection District are having a Board of Directors meeting on Thursday 4/21/22, they have posted it on the corque board of the post office. I spoke to some folks in the county that are in the know and...The tax dollars that we spend to have a fire department that is staffed 24/7 by 2 firefighters is apparently going to cease to exist. They will be laying off the majority, if not all of the professional firefighters. What are our tax dollars being spent on if the fire department won't even show up? "Sorry you're having a heart attack? Well we don't have any volunteers that can make it in" my family is worth more than the fire tax I spend. Either keep the all 6 of your damn firefighters employed, or I want a repeal of your 2018 assessment, if they are cutting firefighters. This is bull shit. Let's as a community attend the meeting. The paper says 6:30 pm on 4/21/22. You can see it your self at the post office in Rough and Ready. Thanks, Skyler.
