Next Meetup May 10, 2022 at 5:30 PM ET at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm, Broadlands, VA We’re growing and thriving as a cybersecurity community! Our last Meetup at Venture X drew about 35 attendees, and featured Mr. Ross Foard from CISA, who provided a timely and useful overview of the current state of the CDM program and its relationship to identity management. For our May meeting, we’re keeping things fresh by inviting a partner to co-sponsor our Meetup with us. ATARC and Loudoun Economic Development are delighted to be working with The Cyber Guild, a non-profit organization formed in the belief that our world will be more secure when cybersecurity is part of the fabric of everyday living. The Cyber Guild works to continually advance cybersecurity, by attracting diversity to all levels of the industry. The Cybersecurity Guild’s monthly meetings are called CyberTunity events, so in May we’ll hold a CyberTunity/Meetup here in Loudoun County. We’re also excited to be at a new venue in May. Still a bit tentative, but we’re looking at meeting at Clyde’s Willow Creek in Ashburn/Broadlands. Despite the many opportunities here in the Northern Virginia market, let’s face it—it’s a crowded field out there for cybersecurity companies. Whether you are part of a large organization and or a principal at a smaller company, differentiating yourself through marketing and branding is critical. Our theme this month is “Build a Brand – Punching Above Your Weight.” We’ll be joined by 2 experts in the field, Ms. Courtney Brady, VP of Marketing with ThreatBlockr and Mr. Brian Tinsman, Co-Founder of POUNCE. These speakers will examine techniques for building both your personal and corporate brands, with a focus on the cybersecurity market. So please join us and bring a friend. We’ll be providing food (sponsored by Insperity) so arrive hungry and ready to engage with our speakers, your fellow cyber warriors, and our new friends from The Cyber Guild.
