MARBLEHEAD, MA — While Marblehead High School will look a little different when students arrive back for the first time in seven months, "it will be the same school we all know and love," Marblehead High Principal Daniel Bauer assured.
Bauer provided a video tour of some of the changes at the school due to the coronavirus protocols as students prepare to return to the building in cohorts for the first time since it closed due to the pandemic in March.
Some of the changes include doors propped open to start the year to cut down on shared touch surfaces, hand sanitizer stations in the hallways and classrooms, signs on the floor and walls reminding students to social distance and desks spaced 6 feet apart in classrooms.
There will also be one-way stairwells and one-way hallways.
"Don't worry about it," Bauer said. "We'll take time to work with you about how the one-way stairwells and hallways work. We've got time for that."
