Please join us for a night of dancing, performances, and more! Proceeds go towards providing humanitarian relief to families in Ukraine. Hello everyone, My name is Daniel Lee Tran and I am a professional Ballroom and Latin dancer and instructor. For almost the last decade and a half, my life has revolved around the incredibly fascinating and exquisite Dancesport industry and through my time on and off the dance floor, I have met many people from all over the world, with a large percentage of them coming from Ukraine, including my dance partner and many of my closest friends and colleagues. These many individuals have become family to me and it breaks my heart to see that now their families and friends are suffering due to Putin's invasion of Ukraine. In light of recent events, I have chosen to join many of my dance brothers and sisters from all over the world in putting together a fundraiser to help contribute to the goodwill efforts towards the Ukraine. This will be our second dance fundraiser in Sacramento and proceeds from this evening will go towards Ukrainian families that need assistance after having their homes destroyed in the recent weeks. Our event will be at VIP Dance Sacramento. They have graciously donated the venue for our fundraising efforts. They are located on 2828 Marconi Ave, Sacramento, CA 95821. Behind Nagato Japanese Cuisine and Sourdough & Co. A $20 minimum donation is encouraged for entrances. Donations can be collected at the door, or you can display proof of donation** to this link here: https://www.standwithukraine.how/ (English) https://www.n-advocate.org.ua/support-us (Ukrainian) **Receipt can be shown through your phone or emailed in advance to [email protected]** Schedule of events: 6:45 pm: Doors open 7:00 - 8:00 pm: Beginner dance lesson taught by US & World Champion Daniel Lee Tran. Basic steps will be taught from the Nightclub Two-Step, Swing, & Tango. No partner or experience needed. If you've never danced before, this class is perfect for you. 8:00 - 11:00 pm: General dancing. Playlist will primarily include the dances taught during class as well as other styles by special request. A few intermissions will take place through the night for cultural presentations, speeches, and performances. Other opportunities to donate: There will be a few local vendors visiting who will sell merchandise. Percentage of revenue will go towards donations. There will be an opportunity to buy raffle tickets for private lessons with local instructors. Dance instructors and performers from the community will be present and can be available as a partner to dance with during the party for a minimum $5 donation per dance.
