EBHO members joined forces to create this wonderful project, come join us for a tour! EBHO members Berkeley Food & Housing Project, BRIDGE Housing, City of Berkeley, Leddy Maytum Stacy Architects, and NIBBI Brothers joined forces to create this wonderful project, come join us for a tour! This project grew out of a local need for housing and supportive services in the transit-rich downtown Berkeley area. Creating “an awesome Continuum of Housing integrated into the fabric of downtown community….a place to begin progress OUT of poverty and homelessness, projecting warmth, welcome, respect, dignity” are the project goals. This project demonstrates the city’s and non-profit partner's commitment to creating a community based on social, financial and environmental resilience, equity, sustainability and integration. Health + Safety Hard hats and vests will be provided. Please wear close toed, thick soled shoes and sensible clothing. Due to space limitations registration will be capped at 50. Covid protocols for the state and city at the time of the tour will be followed. Transport 2 ½ blocks from the Downtown Berkeley BART Access This is an active construction site, with all the typical equipment and materials on site. The tour will require moving around the building interior and exterior. Elevators will be available for use.
