5 Week Course: W1: Self Awareness Hand Gun Intro W2 : Armed SelfDefense W3: Unarmed SelfDefense W4: CPR/AED Cert W5: Apply/Practice Elite Savages presents: 5 Week Gun Comfort Course, for Women. First week is self awareness, self accountability, environmental awareness, de-escalation techniques, setting and verbalizing firm boundaries, gun terminology and diagram labeling, range and gun safety regulations. Such as trigger safety, safe gun storage, handling, etc. This week will be led by the founder of Elite Savages and a certified gun instructor. In the second week, we will meet at a shooting range (location disclosed in an email after registration.) Guns of various makes, models, caliber, round capacity, handle length, barrel length and weight will be available (signed out with proper ID and are included in the course fee.) This allows for a variety of skill levels to join and to learn which gun may be the best fit for your needs or hand grip in a shorter timespan (with real time application and practice.) This week will be led by a certified gun instructor with 14 years experience. The third week we will learn unarmed self defense. Where we learn self defense tactics using Judo and Jujitsu techniques, how to disarm an armed threat, unload a magazine, and remove the immediate threat of the gun. Take control of the situation and empower ourselves. This week will be guided by a MMA instructor and Sheriff for detailed questions and application. The fourth week is CPR and AED training, as an essential skill everyone should have handy and practice with sporadically. This will be taught by an instructor in the field of EMT education at ACC. In the fifth week we will learn about vagus nerve (fight and flight) awareness and self control techniques (ie breathing, grounding, etc.) There will be various opportunities for situational application practice and confidence building resources available. At the end of it all we will come together for community recognition and gratitude towards our ability to show up for the course and for ourselves. Fin. I would like to add Elite Savages is not advocating that patrons buy a gun, but if they do great! My goal is to empower you to not have fear of someone with a gun over you. Know how to take control of the situation whether you are a gun owner or not. (Or want to become one.) The course is available 6:00pm - 8:00pm Thursday nights beginning May 12, 2022. Ending Thursday June 9, 2022. There are Saturday classes available to those who are unable to make it during the week between 10:00am and 12:00am For those who have little ones, an additional fee of $10 is optional and a Nanny will be hosted on site for afternoon classes. The tickets cover the cost of the instructors, range rental, handguns, ammunition, target, CPR AED Certificate, and equipment related.
