Guided hike of the Aquila Loop Trail at Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve Join us for two guided hikes in one at Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve! First, we will hike the Aquila Trail, a 1.2-mile, gentle loop that is perfect for beginners, families, and those looking for a mellow nature experience. Then we will hike 1 mile along the Sierra Vista Trail to one of the best sunset lookouts in Silicon Valley! Hike details: Objective: Aquila Loop, Sierra Vista Trail and Sierra Vista lookoutTotal distance: 4.25 miles round-tripElevation gain: ~500 feet (moderate)Time to complete: 2 hours at a leisurely pacePlease note there are no restrooms or water sources at Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve.Dress appropriately! Sierra Vista can be breezy, particularly at sunset. Bring water, snacks, and a camera or cell phone if you'd like to take photos. For the return, bring a flashlight or use your cell phone flashlight app in case you need the extra light.
