Help us celebrate Earth Day by beautifying Humboldt Park in Chicago
Honor Earth Day with Literally Outside and the Chicago Park District! This family-friendly service event is a wonderful opportunity to connect in the community, give back, make new friends, and spend time outdoors in one of the most beautiful green spaces in the City of Chicago.
Where to meet: Volunteers should check in at the Humboldt Park Boathouse by 9am. If driving, take advantage of the free parking lot right in front of the boathouse. The park is also easily accessible via public transportation with a short walk to the center of the park where the boathouse is located
What to bring: Dress appropriately for the weather and bring your own reusable water bottle. Literally Outside will be donating Earth Day T-Shirts to all volunteers to wear during the event (pick yours up at check in).
What to expect: Prepare to get dirty! The Chicago Park District will supply tools (gloves, bags, etc.) for volunteers to assist with litter cleanup and potentially helping mulch flower beds. Volunteers will enjoy free food after the event, generously provided by the Chicago Park District.
After registration you will be sent the Chicago Park District's Volunteer Waiver via email. Please fill that out and send back to [email protected] in advance of the event.
