Description
We've tried this a few times and can't find the right fit. So here goes:
We are primarily an R&B/Soul band. We play ALL original music. We currently have about 60 songs. I've written over 700 so songs aren't a problem. We practice once a week (twice would be great if you can). I've played 300 gigs the past 6 years so gigs aren't a problem--once we are tight. We will not put out a half-assed product.
This is not a jam band. Most of the songs are 3:30 to 4:00 minutes long. Most are hooky foot tappers. There are some outliers and borderline rock/pop tunes. They aren't complex but the bass needs to move like Duck Dunn or Jamie Jameson. The keyboardist needs a B3 and Rhodes sound, possibly piano. The better you play the more solos you get. If you are content playing hooks and chords that's fine too.
Again, the gigs are there, but we want to be tight. So if you have a little learning to do we have the time. We want someone ready to work. We also want a band member not a mercenary. We have a website, plans for albums, and the desire to play outside of Chattanooga.
