MARBLEHEAD, MA — Mino's Roast Beef ownership wants its sign back. No questions asked. That's the message Marblehead police want relayed to anyone who took the sign that was removed from the shop during renovations at the Atlantic Avenue location. "It was last seen on Friday and they think someone may have taken it as a souvenir given the store's long history in Marblehead," police said. Police said the sign was last seen on Friday and was being stored near the dumpster during the renovations. Police said owners checked with the trash-hauling company to verify they did not take the sign and allowed that the someone who swiped it may not have realized it was not up for grabs. "They really believe someone saw it by the dumpster and simply assumed it was trash and they took it," police said in response to a social media query. Police said anyone who took it can return it to the store or police station with no questions asked. "Please help out a local business!" police requested.
