MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead police are looking for possible additional victims of a string of vehicle break-ins after charging a Salem man and woman with a car break-in on Pleasant Street Thursday night. Police said a 53-year-old Salem woman and 29-year-old Salem man were arraigned at Lynn District Court on Friday on charges from the break-in near Smith Street, but that they have reason to believe there may have been additional break-ins that night. Police said "an excellent description" of the suspects and an officer on a private detail helped them find the suspects quickly after the 7 p.m. report of a break-in. Police said they have taken reports of similar break-ins on Lafayette Street, West Shore Drive and upper Pleasant Street. Police said the arrests were made in the area of Baldwin Road and Cornell Road. Anyone in that area who believes their car was broken into as well is asked to call 781-631-1212. "Please help us prevent car breaks by locking your doors and rolling up your windows," police said. "Activate your car alarms and do not leave valuables in your car. All of the vehicles that were entered yesterday were left unlocked. "If you see something suspicious, please call right away."
