Huge glowing bright red eyes in the trees at night

Hello out there in Craigslist land..... I was wondering if anyone else has had an encounter with huge glowing,bright red eye balls at night,high up in the trees....? To big to be human,or night vision goggles....!! I was elk hunting in trout lake Washington,near white salmon,one year,(about 20 yrs ago).... And while sitting by the fire after finishing dinner, after a long day in the woods,....I was just smoking a cigarette, staring off into the night sky,....kinda just spacing out,and unwinding..... I finally noticed two huge eyes (the size of a baseball,or close to that),bright red,glowing, and staring right at me(for who knows how long before I saw them)from up in a tree very high off the ground,right in front of us!!! My friend was sitting in a chair on the other side of the fire...and I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and told him to look,and he saw what I saw(so I know I wasn't seeing things)and I had my rifle close by,within arms length of my chair....so I grabbed it(not to shoot,but to use the scope to get a better look at what we were seeing. And as soon as I sighted in on the glowing area of the eyes...the eyes blinked twice,then moved very fast across two other really big trees next to it....in a absolutely straight line,without dipping down,or moving up,or anything....just as straight as a laser beam.... And being that far up in the trees(at least 80-90ft)...and being dense trees,with alot of limbs....it would be completely impossible for a human or animal to do that!!!!! I tried to follow it with my scope,but as soon as it stopped after going sideways for about 150 ft,it disappeared.... That was the first of three other very strange events throughout the next two days....thus promting us to pack up and leave the area,and go back home. We went back to the same spot the next year for hunting (because it was such a prime spot to set up camp,and we knew the area well)....and things got weird again....alot of strange circumstances.... So again....we left in a hurry,and haven't ever been back since!!!! So.....I've been wondering for a long time,what that was,and thought I'd see if anyone else out there has seen the same thing,or anything like it. If so...let me know!!!! Thanks.
