MLT Announces New Fall 2020 Youth Theater Programming

COVID will not stop us from creating! After an incredibly successful extended summer of social-distancing youth theater, Marblehead Little Theatre Children’s is back for the Fall with two amazing programs. Youth Theater Program: Imagination Adventures Working with our fabulous team of educators, we will create original vignettes that explore adventures one can have while using their imagination. In addition to performing in small scenes, students will be involved in two smaller musical numbers with their color teammates and two full group numbers combining the color teams. They will also have an opportunity to explore the world of technical theater by creating props, costumes and set pieces to be used during the production. Due to the maximum number of people we can have in the building at once, we will be breaking down into color teams. The RED Team will meet Mondays and Wednesdays and the PURPLE Team will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each group will have a maximum of 8 members. With the magic of film editing, we will bring these two groups together for a full scale production! Nov. 24 Teen Theater Program: MLT Teen Experience Our six week intensive will add the next level of performing to our youth program. The workshop will be broken down into three sections focusing on Audition Preparation, Shakespeare Hip Hop, and Ensemble Acting and Singing. Students will have the option to perform for the Youth Production in advanced solos and ensemble numbers. Performances will be filmed and streamed.
