El Agua Cuenta, The Water Tells/ The Water Counts: Bike tour to hear the story of the water in the Tijuana River and its toxic effects
Come take a bike tour of the Tijuana River Valley on Saturday May 7th from 8:30am - 2:30pm as we follow the Tijuana River water's path, hear stories of why the water is contaminated and how it impacts people along its path. At Wheels on the Watershed: Environmental Justice at the Border you will have the opportunity to hear from local organizations and their efforts to clean up the Tijuana River Valley Watershed, and how to get involved. This is a joint event hosted and coordinated by Latino Outdoors San Diego, the Environmental Health Coalition, Outdoor Outreach, San Diego Coastkeeper, and the Surf Rider Foundation. This event is BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike but we will have some bikes available only for those that absolutely need them.
Food will be provided after the event.
