Become a certified citizen scientist. Learn how to monitor water quality in a tidal saltwater creek near you! No experience needed! Through SC Adopt-a-Stream, we are educating residents about local water quality and habitat AND collecting data on the health of our waterways. This workshop will train volunteers to monitor water quality in tidal saltwater creeks. The morning session is in class instruction followed by field instruction at the Cherry Grove Boat Landing. Trainees will complete a written test to complete their certification as a Saltwater Volunteer. Registration is limited to 12 participants. Bring a lunch. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for both the classroom and the field portion of the workshop.
