Description
Angel Fest is an immersive one-day conference empowering, connecting, and inspiring angel investors from Minnesota, and beyond. Panel TopicsThrough interactive panels and curated conversations Angel Fest will bring together individuals interested in funding the future. Investing in What You KnowEveryone starts somewhere, hear from active angel investors on how they got into angel investing and the unique considerations of the verticals where they've focused. We'll also cover the pivots they've made along the way. Mind the GapAngel investing is immeasurably impactful on early-stage companies, but there's a gap in both who participate as investors and those who get early-stage funding. When women and people of color bring their unique lenses to investing, it tends to be better for women, for people of color, our communities, and for the planet. Investing in women and minority founders is not only equitable, but also profitable. Founder's View: How to Be a Better AngelThis panel of noteworthy Minnesota founders will discuss the importance and impact angels can have on a startup. We'll cover examples of healthy investor-founder relationships, as well as ways to avoid future conflicts. This panel will showcase the variety and high caliber founders and companies, coming out of the Upper Midwest. Thing We Wish We KnewHear the tough lessons learned from a group of investors who have collectively invested in, or supported the investment of, hundreds of early stage deals. Together, we will go deeper into the mechanics of angel investing and explore the questions you've been wanting to ask.
