Minnetonka HS Class of 1977 45th Reunion at the beautiful Lafayette Country Club on Friday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m. Please join us for the Minnetonka Class of '77 45th Reunion! Our private, casual event will be held at the beautiful Lafayette Club on the shores of Lake Minnetonka. We'll gather downstairs in the Fairway Room, with our own private bar and reception buffet, comfy gathering spots, casual dining tables and more. An outdoor patio and firepit will be ours for the evening, along with lawn space for gathering and sweeping views of Crystal Bay. NOTE: PLEASE READ THRU ENTIRELY AS MANY QUESTIONS AND ALL INFORMATION WILL BE COVERED. REGISTRATION AND TICKET INFORMATION Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. with the Hors d'oeuvres Reception Buffet served from 7:15 until 9:15, after which it will be unavailable. Cookies, bars, snacks, and coffee/tea will be provided after buffet is removed. Ticket prices are $60 per person. After 7/1/2022 tickets will increase to $75 per person. (To register and purchase by check or credit card, click green ticket button. Eventbrite will add a small non-refundable fee to cover on-line service fees and MN Sales Tax is also added. Eventbrite is now responsible to collect and remit sales tax on ticket sales in Minnesota. If paying by check, applicable MN Sales Tax will be included and subsequently remitted.) Ticket sales end 8/08/2022. Admittance fee covers the event space, private bartender, valet, the hors d'oeuvres buffet, door prizes, decorations, and additional amenities. Cash bar is optional. Full refunds (minus fees and taxes) are available until 8/5/22 if unable to attend. Money will be refunded after event date. Our event space has a capacity limit, therefore, we encourage ticket sales prior to the event to plan accordingly. If unable to commit prior to the event, please contact Paula Berndt. If we are under our capacity limit, tickets may be purchased for the full price at the door if we are notified before 8/11/22. If unnotified, we cannot guarantee admittance. This is the Lafayette Club's policy for room capacity safety measures. VIDEO PRESENTATION A video presentation of gathered video clips will be aired at our party. If you plan on attending and wish to be included in this video, please send Paula a 10-20 second video of yourself with or without family members of what you are grateful for. We've all gone through many challenges over the past few years and I'd like us to honor each other for what we've overcome. Please send your video clip to [email protected]. In the subject line write '45th Reunion Video'. Thank you!! (Also: The DVD presented at the 40th reunion will be available for $10 the night of our event. All funds will be banked for our next event! Please feel free to contact any one of us. Can I bring a my spouse/partner and do they also need to buy a ticket? Yes and yes. And don't forget to bring pictures of your grandkids!! Do I need to register to attend? Yes. Please do. And register early so we may plan accordingly. If you arrive after 9:15, and space can accommodate, you will still be charged $25 even though the buffet will no longer be available. This is to encourage everyone to register before the event and to partake in the full night's festivities, enjoying all foods and services provided. However, as previously mentioned, if our numbers have met the capacity of the room, we cannot guarantee admittance. What's on the menu? There will be Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip, Pita Crisps, Crudité Display, Minnesota Pickle Wraps, Crab Cakes with Smoked Tomato Aioli, and Mini Beef Wellingtons with Brandy Cream Sauce. Coffee and iced tea will be available throughout the evening. Cookies, bars, and snacks after 8:00 p.m. Is there a dress code? No. Dress as casual as you like, there is no 'dress' code at the club. Our event space has a 'pub' feel (think T-Wrights) so don't be daunted by the elegant history of this Country Club. Will there be music? Yes. There will be music to liven the atmosphere with a continuous stream of 70s and current music. Will there be a valet? Yes. Keep in mind that the Lafayette is a popular venue for weddings, therefore, parking will be busy. Please arrive bearing this in mind as wait times can get lengthy. Can I bring my own food or beverages, or bring food home? No. Due to the Health Departments regulations and Club Policy, food and beverage consumed on premise must be provide by Lafayette Club. Health Department regulations prohibit the club from allowing guests to take home extra food or beverages. Are there areas at the Lafayette Club that are off limits? Yes. This is a private club and most likely other events will be taking place. Also, please be respectful of all the club's lawn space as there are fairways surrounding the areas for our use. You will be alerted to these areas upon arrival. Can we order our own food? No. This is a Member's Only Club, no public accommodations are available. Food will be provided for paying guests for the duration of the evening. Additionally, Lafayette Club does not serve any alcohol shots. Is smoking allowed on the property? Yes. Pre-established areas for smoking are available. VACATE and LAST CALL TIMES: The Club closes at 12:30am. All guests must vacate the property, unless staying in hotel rooms, no later than 1:00am. There will be a $200 charge if guests have not vacated the premises by 1:00 a.m. All centerpieces & supplies must be taken down and removed from the building at the conclusion of your event. All bars will close 15 minutes prior to Club closing time. EXTRA ACCOMODATIONS The Lafayette Club has unfortunately no rooms available for overnight stays. However, here are some nearby hotels for out-of-town guests. Excelsior's The Guest House.
