Dedham To Hold Town Meeting Educational Forum Monday

DEDHAM, MA - Town Moderator Dan Driscoll and a team of volunteers will be hosting a public forum on Monday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall to gather suggestions and feedback that may help to continue to improve Town Meeting preparations and logistics for the upcoming Spring Annual Town Meeting on Monday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Dedham High School. The forum will begin with a brief introduction by the Town Moderator before breaking into smaller groups for facilitated dialog to ensure each suggestion is heard and recorded. The meeting will conclude with a final large-group discussion to share the notes and feedback from the smaller groups, and to hear from participants about how they feel this process was executed. All are welcome to attend. Participants should arrive at Town Hall before 7 p.m. to sign in at the registration table. Visit the town's Spring Annual Town Meeting website for materials and resources, including a copy of the warrant articles, past Finance & Warrant Committee meeting recordings, budget presentations, and the final Town Meeting warrant book when it becomes available. Final meeting details and logistics also will be shared on this website and will be emailed to subscribers. This will be a return to the more traditional Town Meeting format now that the pandemic has subsided. Last fall's Town Meeting was held at the Dedham Health & Athletic Complex in the Dedham Mall, while the previous Spring Town Meeting was held on the Dedham High School football field.
