MANSFIELD, MA — A portion of Maple Street in Mansfield will be closed on weekdays through Sept. 4 due to road construction. The Mansfield Department of Public Works called for the closure from Joanna Drive to Franklin Street beginning on Thursday. Mansfield DPW said it had planned to keep the road open during installation of a new drainage infrastructure. The hope was to keep the road open during construction, but the narrowness of the road prevents that and requires a detour. Local traffic will be allowed, but delays should be expected.
