MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield Public Schools has put educational resources online for parents and students would are looking for guidelines to continue the learning process during the coronavirus school closure. The MHS educational resource page can be found here. The activities fall into four categories: MCAS/SAT Prep, Post-Secondary Planning, Health and Well-Being and "For Fun!" Mansfield High principal Mary Watkins said these activities are not required and that nothing will be collected. The Massachusetts Department of Education has said that this is considered a "three-week school closure" and that no online materials can be distributed with the intention that it replace in-classroom learning. Watkins asked students and parents to keep checking back on the page as additional resources may be added. Hard copies of prep materials are available at the school and can be picked up by making an appointment in advance. "We're thinking about you all and would really love to hear from you and how you're keeping busy," Watkins said in a letter to students. "At a minimum, we encourage you to get up, get dressed, and make the most of each day — get on a schedule. Exercise and fresh air help. Read a good book."
