ORANGE, CT — The number of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in Orange was seven as of Monday evening, according to state health officials.
Statewide, there were 2,571 residents with the virus, and the number of deaths rose by two to 36. The number of people hospitalized reached 517 as of Monday.
New Haven County had 373 positive tests for the virus, the second most in the state behind Fairfield County with 1,445.

On Monday, Gov. Ned Lamont issued a new executive order requiring child care facilities to limit the number of children together to 10 or fewer.
Orange Town Hall remains closed to the public until further notice, and Amity Regional schools remain closed until at least April 20.
