ORANGE, CT — The number of Orange residents who have died of complications from the new coronavirus (COVID-19) is two as of Monday, according to the state Department of Public Health, which for the first time has released the number of deaths for each Connecticut community. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Orange stood at 65 as of Monday. More than 2,000 people across the state have died from the virus, and there have been just under 26,000 confirmed cases of the virus in Connecticut. According to Gov. Ned Lamont, the state is likely a week to 10 days away from an announcement about certain businesses that can be reopened in a limited capacity, though he may release preliminary guidance later this week.
