PITTSBURGH, PA — Former KDKA-TV legal editor Julie Grant suffered unspecified injuries in a car crash Monday. Now the host of Court TV Live on weekdays, Grant is "grateful to be alive," according to a statement posted her social media sites. "The accident was not her fault and Julie sustained injuries as a result of this collision," according to the statement from Andrew Ree, manager of East Coast Sports & Entertainment. "She. S is grateful to be alive, is being treated for those injuries and is resting. "Julie will do her best to continue sharing her expert trial analysis with the incredible Court TV viewing audience. She has more healing to do before returning to hosting her show." Grant, who left KDKA in 2019, has spent her career juggling journalism and legal jobs. She has worked as an anchor-reporter at WGHP in Greensboro, NC and WTOV in Steubenville, OH. She also served as an Allegheny County assistant district attorney for nearly four years.
