MANSFIELD, MA — A School Street man will be charged with nearly a dozen ammunition, drug and gun crimes after Mansfield police said they removed a machine gun, rifles, ammunition, a bullet proof vest and suspected narcotics from a house on School Street on Sunday afternoon.
Police said one gun is still being sought after Trevor Johnstun, 28, surrendered and a search warrant search of the house found the guns and suspected drugs.
Mansfield police said the responded to a report of a disturbance about 2:30 p.m. Sunday when a witnesses accused Johnstun of making threatening statements involving a firearm and acting in a threatening manner.
Police shut off traffic to School Street and said they were able to talk Johnstun out of the house via loudspeaker before getting a search warrant and searching the house.
Johnstun is charged with possession of a machine gun, Class A drug possession, three counts of ammunition possession without an FID card, possession of a gun without an FID card, possession of a gun with a defaced serial number, improper storage of a firearm, possession with intent to distribute a counterfeit substance and possession of a Class E substance.
