Description
I am loath to advertise for people to do work for little or no pay. But that can be a temporary condition.
Let me outline it like this. I have a powerful and spectacular female vocalist and a less than stellar male vocalist. That male vocalist needs good singers to prop him up. On the other hand, the female vocalist DESERVES background singers. This group is going to be going places, mainly because of her.
I have to present a dose of reality in all this. We are a new band and have to work our way up to those $1500 a night gigs. Please understand that the musicians have put a lifetime into study and practice and invested $1000s of dollars into their equipment and likely even more into their transportation. I can't ask them for pay cuts. I don't like the idea of bringing out a band short of what I am trying to accomplish and wait for high paying gigs that might not materialize. However, if I can present to them a "$1500/night band" to the club managers and booking agents, that practically turns a hope into a guarantee.
I can also offer this. I will take on complete novices, giving you the professional experience from which to launch a career. My singer is also very active in the business world and has vocal cord polyps, so she may not be able to do all the shows we want, meaning her backup singers can fill in and get paid.
Experience, an understudy role, and a real opportunity for future earnings. Please respond if this interests you.
