As of Tuesday, the average price for gas in Illinois is about $4.35 per gallon, according to AAA. That's down 11 cents from March 31. Nationally Tuesday, the average was about $4.10 per gallon. At around $4.27 per gallon in Kane County Tuesday, gas prices were slightly under the state average.
