AURORA, IL — A 57-year-old Aurora woman died Monday evening after police say her vehicle crashed into a tree in the 2100 block of Walcott Drive. Police responded to the crash scene just before 4:15 p.m. and found the woman unconscious and not breathing. Officers began CPR before Aurora Fire Department paramedics arrived and continued life-saving efforts. The woman, identified as Lisa Mowry, was taken to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She lived near the scene of the crash, police said. Investigators believe Mowry likely suffered a medical emergency while driving. The Kane County Coroner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine cause and manner of death. The 2100 block of Walcott Drive was closed for several hours following the crash. The crash remains under investigation by APD's Traffic Division. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Aurora Police Department's Traffic Division at 630-256-5330 or email [email protected].
