ROSWELL, GA — The City of Roswell's Water Utility Division will give residents an opportunity to "Think Beyond the Tap" and explore the process behind making safe drinking water at the annual Drinking Water Festival on Saturday, May 7.
This free family-friendly event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Roswell Water Treatment Plant, at 100 Frank Lewis Drive. Guests will be able to tour the water plant and learn more about the source of drinking water and how it is treated, learn about water conservation, and sign up for the AquaHawk water monitoring system.
The Drinking Water Festival will allow people to learn more about how Roswell maintains a safe and sustainable supply of drinking water, organizers said in a news release.
Participants can enjoy free snacks and beverages, children's activities, giveaways, and also visit the "Rule #1 is Pick Up #2" "Pup-Up" informational table to learn about the City's efforts to combat dog waste.
This event concludes the National Drinking Water Week, May 1–7.
