Grand Avenue Residence - Minneapolis, MN
We are a small board and care home in a quiet South Minneapolis residential neighborhood. We are not like large nursing facilities and are more like a big family. Our resident population have some mental health challenges and the average age is 50-60.
We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated, activities person to join our team.
The Activities Director works independently to develop and implement recreational programs. This is a hands on job with programmed activities. This position also coordinates volunteer visits. The activities coordinator is always exploring opportunities for resident socialization and engagement. In this position, you will also document the activities, participation, etc. and participate in resident care planning. This position is 35-40 hours per week.
We prefer applicants should have one year of related experience but we will train the right person. You must be able to work a flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. You must pass a background check.
Applicants must have a have good organizational skills and enjoy working with people. Other requirements include a current driver license, a good driving record, and a reliable car with insurance. Experience in long term care activity programs is a plus.
