47 year old drummer seeking North County playing situations. I’m experienced with various playing situations including: gigs, demos, recording, fill-ins and more. Ideally, I’d like playing situations where the band is already formed and the songs are already written/selected. Preferably looking for a paid cover band seeking a drummer to come right-in, learn the songs and start playing. I have a Monday-Friday career, so I’m not looking to “make it big.” But I am looking to have fun by playing music live and get people listening/dancing. I cut my teeth drumming with bands back in my hometown of L.A. and left for the quieter North County life; but I do miss playing more regularly. I’m low-key, introverted and avoid drama and egos like the plague. I’ve always lived a clean, drug-free life and will not play with junkies/boozers. I’m prompt, responsible, easy-going and gravitated towards like minded musicians. Passions besides music are surfing. Several of my favorites and influences include: Hal Blaine, the Beach Boys, Mamas & the Papas, the Byrds, Elvis Costello, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, the Beatles, Jack Johnson, Queen, reggae, surf, yacht rock, the Eagles, Elton John, Linda Rondstadt, Rolling Stones, Harry Nilsson, Simon and Garfunkel and more.
