We need a handy man for our Farm and Vacation Rental Business. Our immediate need is to have someone give a bunch of trees that are blocking our view and on a steep slope a significant trim. NOTE: that requires dexterity and the ability to climb down the slope and use a chainsaw without chopping off your own limbs. The proper safety equipment can be provided if you don't already have it. * Must be skilled with wood work, can cut a straight edge and do decent finishing work. * Must be willing to haul dirt, move compost, dig holes...heavy and dirty work. * Can do minor plumbing, painting and other home based repairs. * Be willing to clean a chicken coup. * Deck building experience a plus. * Being creative and figuring things out is a big plus. * Have reliable transportation, a Truck is preferred. One important aspect of this job is you MUST clean up after yourself. This is a vacation rental property and a show farm, this means it needs to look neat and tidy at all times. At times this job can be stressful, things need to get done on time. You should be able to handle stress without blowing up on the boss or other people you work with. I think it is called...plays well with others. This is a family business. We are pretty good people to work for. We frequently provide high quality and tasty food to our staff. Especially on days when we are pushing to get a lot done. This is ongoing work. It will start out light for the first few weeks, but once we are comfortable with you and we get a loan approved (which should not be an issue) we have many projects to keep you fully occupied all spring, summer and fall long.
