Nurse Strike-Unpopular Opinion

Hi Everyone- I work in health care, directly with OR Nurses and Staff. Due to the strike, we are having to pick up all of the slack that the nurses wont be here to do, aside from hiring temp nurses. I work at a very famous research hospital and am wondering why on earth these nurses are complaining about makin a quarter of a million dollars a year, and state its for the "patients" but then decide to walk out on them? Can someone please explain this to me? I make less than half of what they do and I feel like this whole thing is greedy and selfish. For $150 an hour with full benefits, why is this an issue? Call me crazy but I work very hard and wouldn't complain about such good money.
