Description

Over the summer and throughout the pandemic Pack 922 continued to be a community where scouts came together to share with one another. With the start of the new school year comes the start of a new Scouting year. We are looking for boys and girls in the Orange area in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade to come and meet our Scouting family. Pack 922 is focused on community and instilling the positive values of the scout oath and laws into our youth to become independent, strong leaders. While COVID-19 has caused the Pack to ensure we plan our activities around keeping everyone safe and healthy, we have still planned an exciting year of activities and achievements. One of our first upcoming activities is the first Pack Meeting to be held at the Main Pavilion at the High Plains Community Center on September 8, 2020 from 6:00 - 7:30. At this meeting we encourage new Scouting Families to meet the returning Scouts and Leaders. While the parents sit with the Cub Master and other Leaders of the Pack to plan the year, Scouts will be participating in field activities and learning about being physically fit. Rita’s Italian Ice will be on site to provide a treat to the Scouts and their families after the activities are completed. Other activities over the next couple of months include Disk Golf, Sleeping Giant Tower Trail Hike, Pumpkin Chunkin Fall Festival and Campout, Scouting for Food, Space Derby, and of course the Pinewood Derby. Please feel free to contact Brian Cleveland, Cubmaster, [email protected], Alex Zamachaj, Assistant Cubmaster, [email protected] or our website www.orangectscouting.com and facebook page www.facebook.com/CubScoutPack922 for more details.
