14th Annual Kristallnacht Commemoration

Congregation Or Shalom in Orange, in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, will hold the 14th Annual Community-Wide Kristallnacht Commemoration on Sunday, November 15th at 9 am. This year we will honor the conscience and heroism of Mr. Odd Nansen of Norway, who saved Jewish children from the Nazi regime. The entire is invited to join this event, held virtually this year via Zoom. It will begin at 9 am with the solemn lighting of a Yellow Holocaust Memorial Candle. Speakers include Timothy Boyce, who recently published Nansen’s diary in English, Senator Richard Blumenthal and Rabbi Alvin Windaus, spiritual leader of Congregation or Shalom.
