Overview · Experience: Traffic Control Supervisor, 2 year (Preferred) · License: TCS Certification (Required) · Working Days: Monday thru Friday (Required) Weekends (Possible) · Working Area: North Metro Area (N of Highway 7) · South Metro Area (Castle Rock & Sorrounding) Full Job Description The Traffic Control Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining traffic control operations. The Traffic Control Supervisor is responsible for tasks related to vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic control operations related to road and highway heavy construction projects. Responsible for overseeing traffic control operations, lane closures, road closures, setting signs and devices. May operate a variety of vehicles, hand tools and power tools. May clean sites and remove waste materials. Will work near traffic and interact regularly with the public. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Currently Certified as a Traffic Control Supervisor though CCA or ATSSA and be able to maintain certification. Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices; safely controlling vehicular, pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area; duties may vary according to job assignment. Required to operate pickups and flatbed trucks (not requiring a commercial driver’s license), and miscellaneous hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections according to standards. Supervise Flaggers and ensure company standards are being complied with. Complete daily logs (vehicle, time, project, etc) timely and accurately. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards. Material handling and storage. Load and unload trucks and haul and lift materials. Ensure that tasks are completed in accordance with all applicable company, local, state and federal rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Proven ability within the Traffic Control Industry Understanding of correct use of equipment, materials and supplies used in traffic operations related to heavy/highway construction work. Working knowledge of CDOT M & S Standards and Part 6 of the M.U.T.C.D. High School Diploma (or equivalent) Must have valid driver's license with clean driving record (must be insurable through company insurance policy) DOT Medical card required when hired. Must be able to pass a pre-employment fit-test and drug screen.
