MALDEN, MA — A Malden school is rolling back its reopening plan after multiple staff members tested positive for COVID-19. Superintendent John Oteri said over the weekend the Linden School will go back to all-remote learning until testing shows that in-person instruction is safe.
"This could be as long as two weeks," Oteri said in a message to families.
The district advises staff members or students who were in the Linden School last week to get tested for the coronavirus. The Board of Health will communicate with people who are determined to be a close contact.
Free testing sites are available at www.mass.gov. You can also schedule a COVID-19 test at the three CVS locations in Malden: Ferry St, Eastern Ave and Broadway, as well as at AFC Urgent Care - Centre Street. There is a drive-up testing site in the parking lot of the Square One Mall in Saugus, from 2-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
