Wimmer currently owns and operates over thirty properties throughout southeastern Wisconsin and many more exciting, high-quality properties are currently under construction! Wimmer Communities is currently seeking a Full-Time Construction Technician to join our team of talented professionals. New and exciting projects include the Poplar Creek Town Center which is a mixed-use of Hotel, Retail, Office Space and Residential Units. These five-podium-style buildings will house 450 Residential Units. Essential Duties And Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.. Prepare change orders Maintain control of the site as to cleanliness, safety, and required staging areas. Quality control in all phases of construction, including preparing punch lists with due dates for Subcontractors. Acts on directions of V.P. of Construction. Act as a hands-on construction assistant. Assist in coordinating field activity. Obtain building permits. Act on and order material shortages. Skillfully act on punch list items. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years construction experience. Good working knowledge of residential construction. Solid working knowledge of industry standards and uniform dwelling codes. Ability to operate power and hand tools. Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Good communication skills.
