We run all of our projects in and around Evanston. The Construction and Landscape Associate will be a part of a team that builds and installs sustainable landscapes. The ideal candidate can demonstrate some of the following knowledge and/or skill sets: ● Basic/Rough Carpentry (these skills are especially desired!): framing, raised beds, arbors, pergolas, trellises, fence building ● Landscaping: Including but not limited to plantings, mulching, amending soil, and waste removal. ● Water Conservation: Installing drip irrigation, French drains, rain water gardens, rainwater catchment systems, ponds and/or water features. ● Basic Masonry: Building pathways with brick, stone and other hardscape materials. ● A positive attitude and openness to learn and an eagerness to learn the tools of the trade of sustainable/green development ● Must be in good physical shape and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. ● Enthusiasm for working outdoors in all types of weather. ● Detail-oriented and ability to complete assigned tasks ● Ability to be a part of a team as well as work independently ● Responsible and honest
