Guitar player looking for other players (guitar, bass, keys, drums, vocals) in the area who want to get together jam. I'm interested in an encouraging environment where each player can stretch out and try new things or work on technique/phrasing, etc. Jams would be built around songs, so it’s not disorganized, but extend out from there – kind of like a jam band. I’d prefer a more roots-oriented music (e.g., Allmans, Meters, Little Feat) and sound and less jam band sound (e.g., Phish). I love blues, rock, soul, funk, jazz, singer-song writer, old country. My favorite players are Garcia, Green, Bloomfield, Clapton, Hendrix, Gilmore, Roy Buchanan, Grant Green. Also like more contemporary players like Scott Sharrard, Molly Miller, Julian Lage, Eric Krasno, JD Simo, Guthrie Trapp. I am 52yo, family, and professional career. This is a hobby for me, but willing to play out every so often.
