NORWICH, CT — The state Department of Public Health found serious infection control violations at a Norwich nursing home, according to The Hartford Business Journal. Twenty-one residents at Three Rivers nursing home have tested positive for COVID-19 and three have died.
The state found that Three Rivers did not properly use protective gear, did not enforce a 14-day quarantine for a resident exposed to the virus, and did not keep an outbreak listing for the status of residents, The Hartford Business Journal reported.
The home is now in "immediate jeopardy," meaning that it has 10 days to develop a plan of action on how it will address the violations.
