Camelot K9 Academy, your obedience training, protection training, Behavior specialist and full service boarding facility is located just North of Chattanooga, TN. Our dog training and boarding facility is located on 5 Acres. It is our goal to help the dogs and their owners reach their maximum potential as either well behaved pets, assistance dogs, competition or working dogs. We are a full service facility for all your canine needs. We train all breeds and all ages. We offer Board and Train programs, Private Lessons and Full Service Boarding. Camelot K9 is looking for a part time kennel technician, this position has the possibility of going full time, but will start in a part time capacity. This position consists of cleaning kennels and taking care of dogs in for boarding and training. Feeding, giving any medications needed and general care of dogs. You must be in GOOD physical condition - able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking. Think about walking a large dog that jerks the leash. Must be willing to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness. Dogs make a lot of messes. Experience is a plus but not required. Email all inquiries. Resume is a must. Applicant must have reliable transportation and the ability to work any shift including evenings, weekends and holidays. They will be dependable, trustworthy and able to work without close supervision. They will have keen observation skills. Attention to detail and good communication skills are a must.Responsibilities and Duties Include:Feeding/watering of all dogs.Collect and record animal information such as weight, size, physical condition, food intake, treatments and medications received.Bathing.Mix food.Give medications and food supplements according to client requirements.Kennel maintenance to include cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing.Some lawn maintenance-removing waste, and disinfecting of outside areas.Checking boarding dogs in and out.Lifting up to 40 lbs with assistance.Extended periods of walking/ standing.Qualifications and SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required for position. Customer- service oriented. Able to function well in fast-paced, noisy environment. Good communication skills. Good with all dogs large and small! Self motivated and can work with little supervision.Background check requiredJob Type: Full timeSalary: $10.00-$11.00/hour to start salary based on experience. Room for raises and more hours.
