Sun Tech is currently looking to hire a skilled HVAC/ Air Conditioning / Heating Technician immediately! The technician selected will take pride in his/her work. We take care of our technicians and expect them to take care of our customers in return. Guarantee 35 hours in the winter slow months and massive overtime in the summer season. Job Description: Installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services. Minimum Requirements: • High school diploma/ GED • RSI or comparable HVAV training • Up to date EPA card to handle refrigerant • Valid driver license and decent driving background • Willingness to complete a background check A preferred applicated will possesses the following skill sets for immediate hire. 1. Thorough Knowledge of HVAC Systems & Methods Sun Tech Air HVAC technicians are familiar with a wide range of HVAC systems, controls, and installation methods. Even beginners are required to have the fundamentals of heating and cooling systems, how to thread and install gas piping, how duct systems are organized, and various ventilation methods. 2. Exceptional Customer Services Sun Tech Air requires technicians who will take extra time to explain repairs and new products to customers, and answer all of their questions thoroughly—even if those answers seem obvious. Technicians must be able to make clients (and prospective clients) feel comfortable and inspire trust. They are the “face” of the company out in the field, where making a good impression is crucial for our success. 3. Knowledge of HVAC Safety Standards and Protocols Safety is our TOP PRIORITY. Preventative safety skills are key for our HVAC technicians, as well as for the people we serve. Sun Tech Air wants a tech who understand and apply safety procedures for working at heights, in confined spaces, with scaffolding, etc. 4. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting Skills Sun Tech Air needs technicians who can quickly size up a malfunctioning system, identity possible problems, brainstorm solutions, and implement troubleshooting steps. Diagnostic and testing skills are essential for delivering timely, safe, and effective client services. We want a tech who think on their feet, knows a variety of troubleshooting techniques, and are familiar with the latest testing equipment (airflow meters, humidity recorders, voltmeters, gas leak detectors, etc.)
