During which a man killed multiple people. He shot the neighbors and constantly asked if anyone spoke about "the name" referring to The Bye Bye Man. He repeats over and over: "Don't say it, don't think it; don't think it, don't say it". referring to The Bye Bye Man. In 2017, Elliot, his girlfriend Sasha, and friend John move into an off-campus house not far from their college. Mysterious things happen to them, such as Sasha developing a strange sickness and Elliot finding coins in a nightstand that continually reappear. Elliot also finds writing consisting of "don't think it, don't say it", and a name - the Bye Bye Man. During a séance involving their friend Kim, the bye bye man is mentioned. All hell breaks loose. Sasha and John begin to lose their minds trying to find an answer to why they were seeing and hearing things that wasn't there. Only Elliot out of the three, knew exactly why all of it was happening and tried to find out about The Bye Bye Man. But in the end it was all in vein. The Bye Bye Man possessed Elliot to kill Sasha by shooting her and then killed himself in order to keep his brother Virgil and his daughter Alice safe. The home burned down home with Sasha and Elliot inside. Their third friend managed to survive and was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds. Present day, 2022, Alice has grown a little older and lot more wiser. She's now 15 and goes to high school with her friend Jax Faith; a young 17yr old Christian boy; Who is very overprotective of her but she's used to it. Since the death of Elliot and Sasha. Virgil has sent Alice away to his sister's house where she lives and goes to school. In order to find out what happened to Elliot and Sasha. Virgil reaches out to this priest named "Father Bradford" and has a talk with him about demonic possessions and what threat it possesses. John who had survived the stabbing from a possessed Sasha only partially recovered only due to the fact he knew about the bye bye man. He committed himself to a mental institute. Where he stays to prevent the name of the bye bye man from being spread. A News Reporter by the name of Nathan March will destroy all that in one mistake.
