Description
hi! I'm Paul! My s/o and I are currently planning to move to either Greenpoint or Williamsburg this July/August, to be closer to family and friends, and also hoping to be around more productive and creative people than our current area has to offer. At the moment I live in Massachusetts and operate a recording studio with two other people who aren’t interested in transplanting. I love all types of music deeply, super flexible, insanely clean and organized, and I’ve got a lot of great gear to share! I’m looking for 1-2 other partners to go in on a space with for a studio-share situation, hopefully starting in August or September of this year. Ideally, I would prefer other engineers to operate with, although if the circumstance is right I’d possibly be OK with having a band use the live room for rehearsal. I’ve been working doing tracking & mix engineering seriously for about 6 years. Over that time I’ve accumulated a really decent amount of gear. I’ll share my website below so if anyone is interested they can check out what I’ve got. For the gearlist, a majority of the mics and preamps are mine, about half of the outboard is as well. When we get talking we can talk about what specific pieces are mine! needs & wants on my end: Location: Somewhere in north bk, ideally that area north of Flushing Ave. and if not somewhere north of Fulton St. Price: Personally out of my own pocket would like to be in the 0-650 range. :) Scheduling: At least 3 days a week where I can utilize the space. Space: 2 rooms. I really only need about 300 sq feet- 200 for a live room, 100 for a control room/storage. Noise: Ideally, a building free from outside noise and other loud tenants (if you’re an engineer, you know how much of a nightmare this can be when using compression). This is always a tough one to work around but I’m hoping there’s a miracle space out there that has, at the very least, scheduled silence. Accessibility: Ideally 24/7 ability to be loud as we want. Otherwise, after 5PM is OK. Cool person: You gotta be a cool person :) my website can be found here! - http://www.electromagrecording.com If anyone at all is interested or even curious, send me an email and we'll talk! We can chat, make some plans, possibly video call, have a discussion and hopefully make some plans if we align on ideas!!
