CHELSEA, MA —A Chelsea man has been charged in two indecent assault cases involving three women in downtown Boston Friday, police said. Fitsum Teklehaimanot, 28, was arrested by the BPD Sexual Assault Unit on Tremont Street around 2 p.m. Teklehaimanot will be arraigned Monday on three counts of indecent assault and battery, police said. His arrest comes as police investigate a recent sexual assault in the Boston Public Garden. Police have not named Teklehaimanot a suspect in that case.
