Summary: We are seeking a Commercial Door Technician for commercial doors and door related products in Houston. If you have experience in the commercial construction industry as an installer, service tech, glazer, framer, or anything that required a mechanical aptitude, please apply! Commercial Door Technician’s Responsibilities: • Build and repair a wide range of commercial doors and door hardware, including but not limited to narrow, medium and wide stile doors. • Read measurements and build storefront and curtain wall frames systems. • Track and maintain job related paperwork and submitting in a timely manner. • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels. • Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required on end-of-month Inventory Counts. • Operate in safety conscious manner at all times while performing job duties. • May train, assign and oversee work of others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications. Commercial Door Technician’s/ Qualifications/Skills: • Previous experience in fabricating and building commercial doors and frames. • Experience in utilizing CNC Machines such as double head saw and 4-Axis Router. • Apply and understand mathematical calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, etc. • TIG Welding Experience and working with aluminum extrusions. • Ability to communicate effectively by phone, in person, or through written formats. • Ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner. • Able to work independently and within a team Education • 5+ years of on-the-job training experience/ Vocational Trade School Certificate (Preferred) • High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of high-volume door building environment. (Minimum) Bilingual (Spanish) a Plus Salary Range: $18.00-$21.00 p/hour Schedule: Mon-Fri (7am-4pm) Benefits Offered: Paid Holidays and Vacation, 401K, Insurance (Health, Dental & Vision)
