NORWICH, CT — A person was seriously injured and later died following a crash in Norwich Tuesday night, NBC CT reported. The crash occurred on I-395, closing both sides of the highway at exit 11 around 6:30 p.m. The highway has since reopened. Police told WTNH that the wreck occurred when a car struck a reflector post, a metal beam guard rail and a state bridge abutment before coming to a stop. The victim in the crash was identified as Joshua Prince, 23, of Uncasville. He was the only one in the car during the crash, according to WTNH. The crash remains under investigation.
