Description
New York can eliminate the state income tax and many other state and local taxes. It's happening now in nearby New Hampshire. They have no state income tax and no sales tax. They don't do the ridiculous bottle deposit thing and they are among the lowest in sin taxes (cigarettes/alcohol). They also have low gas taxes. There are many states that manage without a state income tax or a state sales tax or both. New York could do it if they wanted to.
